Old Time Fairground
Since the early days
there has
always been fairground amusements at the Rally.
Throughout the years the Society
have
always tried to have the traditional rides such as the
Galloping Horses Roundabout, the Big Wheel,
Cake Walk, etc
plus rifle range and side stalls.
A recent addition to the
fairground is the Hurricane Jets owned by the Society's
Chairman, Dave Prout. This ride was a regular sight at
Hereford May Fair in the 1950s and 60s.
As usual the fairground is
powered
by electricity
which is supplied by the showmans engines
on display throughout the day.
This is always a fabulous sight
on Friday and Saturday evening. |
